Magical Tusheti
Tusheti boasts pristine mountainous nature including alpine meadows, cascading waterfalls, rare flora and fauna, and breathtaking vistas. Amongst nature’s bounty you have small villages with homes made of stacked slate dotted with medieval towers and fortresses, where locals live very much according to bygone times practicing ancient traditions. Here guests can find harmony between unique ethnic culture preserved amongst mountains of glory.
Day 1
Drive or fly to Shenako/walk towards Old Diklo
Arrive to Shenako, enjoy cup of local herbal tea and rest.
Walk towards Diklo village, a small settlement located 2150 meters above sea level, continue the walk towards Old Diklo- ancient, fortified village offers beautiful views of the alpine meadows and mountain valleys. In the evening walk/drive back to the house to enjoy delicious meal. Overnight in Shenako.
Day 2
Explore Pirikita Tusheti.
After breakfast drive towards Omalo, visit medieval fortress Keselo, located just above the village of Omalo. Its location is dazzling, surrounded by mighty mountains offering stunning views of the area. Next drive towards Dartlo a charming village dotted with towers and traditional houses, explore the village architecture. Continue trip further in the valley. Enjoy scenery as we drive towards Parsma village. After the short walk we will explore this charming and mysterious village. In the evening return to Shenako for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Depart from Tusheti.
After breakfast, depart from Tusheti region.

Access to Tusheti is available only by 4X4 vehicle 6X6 vehicle Helicopter. |
