Breathtaking Kazbegi
Day 1
Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, transfer to hotel for overnight stay in Tbilisi.
Driving distance 27km, driving time 40 minutes.
Day 2
Tbilisi old town
Tbilisi: Old town, lunch in the Sololaki district, visit to the national museum, free time, and overnight stay in Tbilisi.
Driving distance 10km, driving time 40 minutes.
Day 3
Overnight stay in Kazbegi
Drive via the Georgian military highway to Kazbegi, sightseeing on the way: Mtskheta – two Unesco sites, Ananuri castle, stop on the Jvari mountain pass for a panoramic view, overnight stay in Kazbegi.
Driving distance 180km, driving time 3.3 hours.
Day 4
Hike or drive to Gergeti
Hike or drive to Gergeti, hike to Gveleti waterfall, and get to know the traditional local craft of felt, where guests can participate and learn the basics of felt making. Dinner and overnight stay in Kazbegi.
Driving distance 25km, driving time 1 hour.
Gergeti Trinity: 3.5km hiking time 1.3 hours (elevation of 450 meters).

Gveleti: Walking time 40 minutes to waterfalls.
Day 5
Dinner, and overnight stay in Kazbegi.
Drive to the village of Juta, a half-day hike to the base of the Chaukhi range, drive to Truso gorge, sightseeing: Abandoned villages and towers of Truso, numerous mineral water springs in the gorge. Dinner, and overnight stay in Kazbegi.
Driving distance 80km, driving time 1.4 hours.
Hike: 10km
Walking time: 3–3.3 hours (elevation of 300 meters)
Day 6
Horseback riding for two hours with panoramic views of the Greater Caucasus, drive to Tbilisi, check in at the hotel, free time, and overnight stay in Tbilisi.
Driving distance 170km, driving time 3.3 hours.
Day 7
Free time, then transfer to Tbilisi International Airport for departure.
Driving distance 27km, driving time 40 minutes.
Please Note: During one of the Tbilisi dinners, a traditional polyphonic music choir will perform in an informal atmosphere. One of the dinners in Kazbegi will include a cooking class of traditional Georgian dumplings (khinkali). A visit to a felt studio where the felt making class is both entertaining and therapeutic. Guests can make small, felted fabrics and take them with them. Horseback riding is mild in difficulty (no galloping), with panoramic views over the mountains and towers of Pansheti all along the way.
This itinerary offers guests historic sites, as well as the natural beauty of the Greater Caucasus.
